Welcome to UTM Kuala Lumpur !

Located just two blocks away from the famous Petronas Twin Tower in the center of Kuala Lumpur, the campus is the birth place of UTM since 1904. UTMKL offers wide ranges of professional programmes in science, engineering, management, business, policy and architecture. These programmes are managed by three major Schools namely Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics (FTIR), Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS) and Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT). In addition, UTM Space is also here offering a wide range of academic programmes tailored to working students on a part time basis.

Academic programmes offered by UTM especially UTMKL is highly sought after by the industries from local and abroad. These programmes are carefully designed with strong input and collaboration from industries and backed by up-to-date case studies and advanced laboratory facilities. The campus and the student residence have 100 % network availability.

We are well connected to research institutions in the country such as federal government institutions, multi-national companies (MNC) and other major industries. They are just around the corner. Post-graduate programmes in UTMKL have very strong link to these institutions and well as established universities in Japan, Middle East Europe and USA. Depending on the program student can graduate with double degree – UTM and other oversea university degree.

As a research university the campus is well established in term of R&D infrastructure and research Centre of Excellence (COE). These include Institute of Noise and Vibration (INV/IKG), Wireless Communication Centre (WCC), Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO), Institute Sultan Iskandar (UTM-ISI), Centre of Hydrogen Energy (CHE) and UTM Ocean Thermal Energy Centre (UTM OTEC).
